It's always hard for me to conceive...

... - don't forget, I'm a european - that these are only slightly lower than our completely glaciated Grossglockner! 12194 feet - that's 3716 meters!

It's hard for me to conceive it too! These are way higher than the peaks I can see from my house which range from about 9000' to about 11,300' and are very rugged looking.
