"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

One of my favorite places...Lost Lake is one of my favorite places to relax either on a day trip or camping a couple of nights. This trail along with the lake loop make for some easy, serene sights and experiences, especially for the less ambitious moments. I have climbed the Butte trail a couple of times over the years, the first with my bike and on foot the second. Coupled with the whole Lost Lake experience, a great time and worth the winding roads.

Nice hikeI started from the wrong trailhead and added about 4.5 miles to the total. Easy hike with good views of Hood. Probably not worth a trip of it's own, but a nice way to spend a morning or, even better, an evening if you're camping at Lost Lake.

3 times in 2 daysWas camping at the lake so I figured i'd get some exercise. First time I hiked it Mt. Hood was totally covered in cloud. 2nd time I pushed a bike to the summit and rode down, lots of fun on the rocky parts of the trail. 3rd time later that evening, Mt. Hood cooperated and I got some sunset pictures. A fun little hike with a nice payoff at the top.

Why was I here?Due to another peak's trailhead being gated due to snow, I thumbed through the Sullivan book for something to do to get some exercise. Found this one and headed towards it. Took longer than I thought with the winding roads to find it but what a great recreational site. Super easy hike, I felt like I did not even do a hike so I ran around the lake to snap some shots and get some exercise. Great views of Hood and some routes on it I'd like to get to sometime.
