It's a long day hike. And the Balsam Mountain trail is pretty scary for a regular hiking trail. There was a pink ribbon on a tree indicating where to start the bushwhack. Following the ridge to the top was easier (although more tiring) than following it back to the trail. Six more to go!

Luftee Knob from Tri-Corner shelter
Luftee Knob was one of our last three sixers. We managed to do Luftee Knob, Mt. Yonaguska & Mark's Knob all in the same day with snow on the ground>>stunning! As of March 2008, there was no visible summit marker on Luftee.
