Mama Grizzly and Cubs on Sunlight Peak

Mama Grizzly and Cubs on Sunlight Peak

3 of 20 we saw that day, some closer than this. They are digging up and eating moths, on which they will feast all day. That is why they paid virtually no attention to us. Absaroka Range, Wyoming-- July 2015

Many Moths

They look far above the tree line. I'm surprised there are enough moths to feed a hungry bear.

Re: Many Moths

It's amazing when you think about it. There must be millions. 30 grizzlies were on the slopes that day stuffing themselves. Yet the grizzlies get fed and the moths endure as a species.
