I have climbed this mountain 4 times. The first time was from the Kebler Pass road. The other 3 have been from Ericson Springs. Just enter the Ericson springs campground, follow the road to the parking lot at the end, walk back down the road about 100 yards and head up the mountain from there! It is a very steep 3ish miles to the top this way, but you avoid any technical terrain until the last half mile or so.
