"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

From Canillas de AceitunoDid this route in about 4 hours, slightly less going down. The start of the route is hard to locate - it's above the village, near the cemetery. Only a few shallow patches of snow near the top. Views all round, but a bit hazy - cold wind on top. Not many folk around, but met a small party on top. Return by same route. A thoroughly enjoyable mountain - I'll be back to do it again.

Route Climbed: Canillas del Aceituno (south route) Date Climbed: 8 January 2006It was a quick ascend on almost 3 hours. There was snow already half hour away from the village. At the top more than 10 cm powder snow. No wind, which is unusual on this summit. There was a big cloud south of the summit and we could not see anything to that direction.
