Matlin Mountains

Matlin Mountains

The Matlin Mountains are a small range west of the Hogup Mountains. This was taken from the old railroad grade trail, which ran through the area in the 1880's until the early 1900's. Nov. 28, 2009

Matlin Mountains

I remember the long drive that goes near these mountains. They run northwest to southeast and are divided by a dirt road in the middle. The highest peak is 5,970 feet at the southern end of the range.

Re: Matlin Mountains

If you go to a higher resolution, you can see the road you are talking about. I took the long way home after climbing Ingham Peak, hoping to climb Tangent, but it was way too windy and dusty. And yes, it is an extremely long drive! But, I love long drives in the middle of no where.
