Not quite...
Didn't quite make it as we ran out of time...Climbed with packs from Matterhorn Canyon to Burro Pass, then ditched packs for the climb...got to within 200' of summit and my parntner wouldn't go further, and we still had to return to packs and hike towards Mule Pass. And the climb seemed more like Class 3 at top, which I didn't want to attempt alone (I'm old!). Oh well...seems the story of my life with climbing lately...unless the base of a peak is near starting point, the approach will take too much time and wears me out! Oh to be young again!

Daytripping
Great fun dayhike - after a Buckeye soak, and sleeping under a lone juniper, we sped up Horse canyon until the trail disappeared, struggled a bit keeping focused on the trail so ended up sidehilling scree before gaining the saddle. Excellent scramble (good footing) up the east ridge to the top, with hazy, thunder threatening views. Hail and rain on the way down to the saddle, but little lightning. 9 hours car to car, and oh what a day!

From Twin Lakes climbed to Horse Creek Pass and up the SE slopes. Heavy winds approaching the pass and nearing the summit.

East Couloir Route
This is one of the best summits in the Yosemite region. Scenic route and Matterhorn has that majestic look. There's a climber's path 75% of the route.

Horse Creek Pass
Long dayhike with Ol' Walsher ... the sandy SE slope was horrible. The views from the top of the Yosemite backcountry, however, were sublime...

long day hike
Started at Twin Lakes, followed Horse Creek, and ascended the SE side. The rough footing on much of the trail made for a tiring but rewarding day

Horse Creek to who knows?
Up the creek, around the back, up some rocks, across some scree... Not sure exactly how we made it up there, but we did. The scramble to the top was awesome. The drive back to the bay area sucked.

Horse Creek Pass, I think!
Climbed all over the mountain taking the least practical routes (not on purpose!). Loved the scramble to the summit.

Burro Pass and up the ridge!
Climbed from Burro Pass to the saddle between Matterhorn Peak and another neighboring peak and then a short class 3 scramble up!

Climbed this peak with Bob on the 2007 Sierra Challenge. Enjoyed the peak, nice talus and rock scramble up.
Camped at lake at 9,800'. Used crampons to get to start. A lot of loose rock coming down from climbers above. Crux is the very last move above the dihedral and small chimney where you will want to haul your packs.

The view from the top was a little hazy due to the recent fires.
