Wonderful photo of a classic mountain. August 11 marks the 20th anniversary of my successful ascent of the Matterhorn. I am horrified to see how much the glacier on the north face has retreated, and the scant amount of snow on the rest of the mountain. Scary to see such changes in a relatively short period of time.
