McHenrys Peak seen from Wild Basin

McHenrys Peak seen from Wild Basin (south). To the left the Notch is clearly visible. The Class 4 route from it climbs the steep slabs along the skyline and then traverses at the top of the southwest face on a ledge. Powell Peak, to the west, is partially hidden by Mount Alice. In the foreground is the west ridge of Copeland Mountain. Rocky Mountain National Park, August 2005.

Great View of the Stone Man Pass Route Area

Thanks for this great perspective of the mountain. What a rugged piece of real estate! We really enjoyed the climbing on this one!

Re: Great View of the Stone Man Pass Route Area

Thanks, Aaron. Unlike the nearby peaks along the Divide, McHenrys is interesting from all sides. It's definitely one of my favorite mountains. I hope to climb the Notch Couloir next year.
