Hiking south along Melton Fork Trail. Melton Fork Trail is the standard approach trail for Peak 5139, nicknamed Prominencians Peak, which is the most prominent point in Garfield County, Washington. The standard approach for the peak involves a 2000' elevation loss along Melton Fork Trail that is immediately followed by a 900' elevation gain off-trail, and then vice-versa for the return trek.
