Minidoka County highpoint

Yes, this was a tough one to get. Climbing on top of the two rocks I'm standing on was hard work and to think I left my ice axe and crampons at home (but as you can see, I didn't need them). Whew. 4-16-04 Pic by Bob Bolton

Re: Funny!

I'm glad to see your comments since we had fun posing this shot. Here is a pic taken as Bob drove his 4runner back down from the top.

Re: Funny!

I looked at that one and it looks more like a pile of overgrown dirt than a mountain, but hey as long as it's the high point! I guess there's many that are like that.

YES - it counts!

HEY - you guys can't be serious all the time. I remember when I was headed up to Emerald Ridge one time near Mt. Rainier. (I actually did forget my hiking boots - left them home!) OH WELL, such is LIFE! Please keep up the good humor, guys. (Guess you could have climbed this one in FLIP-FLOPS!!!) Take care.

Re: YES - it counts!

I'm enjoying all your comments. We do have a lot of fun, when we get out there. Later that same day, we ran into some BAD Idaho gumbo mud and got stuck solid. We had to walk out 20 miles to get help. We were laughing even during that experience but just getting out is what it is all about. Thanks.

Good point, DEAN...

YES-YES-YES! Getting OUT is what it's all about! I see all these beautiful images on Summitpost, and WONDER - How many of these people actually made it BACK HOME okay ???
I had a similar experience in Utah several years ago - got my motorcycle STUCK in QUICKSAND, of all things. Had to walk about 20 miles to civilization. GREAT EXERCISE !!! !!!
