Bushwhacking
Gold Hill--June 24, 2012
Started bushwhacking from MM 40.3 (N40.80607 W110.87763) on the Mirror Lake Highway. First went to Gold BM (10387) and then west to Gold Hill (10563).
Moffit, 10770, 10595, 10420--June 28, 2012
Started at Beaver Lake. Hiked up to Moffit Pass and then climbed Moffit, 10770, and 10595. I returned to the 10595-10770 saddle and descended a steep, vegetated, well behaved chute (the easternmost one) to the basin below. (There are a couple of other chutes west of this one consisting of loose rock that looked more difficult.) Then I did a painful traverse around the NW ridge of 10770 and made my way to the road approaching Moffit Pass from the west side. Went back to the pass along the road and ascended 10420 N of the pass. Went down the SE ridge of 10420 back to the first road and back to my car.
