Monogram Glacier from Little Devil Peak

Monogram Glacier from Little Devil Peak

Monogram Glacier from Little Devil Peak. There are several ways to get from the ridge north of Monogram Lake to Little Devil Peak. We stayed high on the ridge (on right side of photo) on the way in. This saved us a little bit of elevation loss, but was more time consuming, as there were several areas of class 3 scrambling. On the way back, we dropped onto the glacier, passed well below and to the south of Point 6844 at 6200' (just left of center in photo). We made a near level traverse at 6200' heading west, until intersecting the route northwest of Monogram Lake. Another option is to wrap around Point 6844 high on the ridge, then drop down the snow finger that appears just right of center in the photo (ice axe required).
