Overnight ascent
To pack this into a busy holiday schedule I set out from Castellane at around 11pm, ascended normal hiking route on northern aspect of the mountain until I was falling asleep on my feet - slept a few hours - and then carried on to summit soon after dawn - then back down to Castellane for breakfast.
