Great shot!

I have never seen Leone from this perspective, has this been taken from Cima D'Aurona?

Re: Great shot!

Hm.... I think Bortelhorn is the German name of "Cima D'Aurona" or of "Punta del Rebbio", I have to check it out!
Thanks for the info!

Re: Great shot!

Almost.

On my Swiss map 1:25000 is

Bortelhorn 3193,6m the Punta del Rebbio
Furggubäumhorn 2985m the Punta d'Aurona

Cima d'Aurona doesnt't exist, only Punta d'Aurona.

Cheers

Re: Great shot!

In Italy we use "punta" or "cima" as synonymous of your german word "spitze".
Thanks for sharing the info!
This summer I want to visit the Switzerland side of these summits!

Re: Great shot!

I see!

The Hillehorn 3170,4m or Punta Mottiscia should be a very beautiful and solitary mountain. I wasn't there.

I think the whole area there is solitary and alone :-)

A goal for me is the Helsenhorn 3272,1m with bivouac. Just for an adventure.

Re: Great shot!

That's the thing that I most love of those mountains: The solitary environment!
Helsenhorn is one of my projects for the future, another one is the entire ridge cross of those summits, from Helsenhorn to Wasenhorn (Terrarossa), It would be fantastic!
