My wife's first real hiking with me, in 1995 - when she was not my wife yet but my girlfriend. This was her ever been highest hiking performance: 1250 m elevation gain (plus return) within the same day. We started from the tiny hamlet Sanico (330 m a.s.l.) and returned to the same place. At return we purchased some infected (salmonella?) ice-cream in a grocery of the village. We were extremely ill in the enxt days.
