North RidgeClimbed the north ridge of this with my 15 year old son a few years back. Another party saw me leading it and sent a rope up with my son. Turns out that the other guys had really wanted to climb it but didn't have the guts to lead it! Neat route, but p1 is a bit scary, especially if it's windy.

Re: North RidgeAt least you provided them a way to get up to the top and experience the tower. It's a great route - I try to jump on it whenever I get a chance to climb down there.

Re: North RidgeIt really IS a great route, isn't it? The climbing is fun, the summit is airy, and it's cool to be able to set your hands on the E and W faces at the same time!

Magee QuoteI was inspired so much by the John Gillespie Magee quote that you've posted that I've done the same (copyright noted to Steve Marr). Thanks for the post.

Re: Magee QuoteThanks. I stole that from my brother in law who drives F16s for the Air Force.
