Mormon Peak

..is hidden in this picture but the route we took utilized a canyon to the left. We made our way up the canyon, dodging cacti and brush, often staying in a wash or traversing above it. If you were to continue on the road, it would take you to some old ruins at the 5000' level. Before the wilderness designation in late 2004, people used to drive to that point before embarking off the road for the peak. I'll post a route & map of the way we went as soon as I can. 4-29-11
