On Bullion Divide traverse. Kind of a crappy peak, what with the antenna and toboggan on top. Trip report.

Nice little hike after work. Thank you mountain. We do honor to your strength and your courage. Too bad it was so smokey and hazy.

First Time 2011
A favorite hike. Have hiked many times in past, but first time this year as a leg stretcher before work.
15thAugust2014 - Usually I hike Mnt Baldy after having hiked Sugarloaf but this year I'm building my strength and had to seperate the two hikes by a couple of days. Mostly uneventful but saw some deer.

Complete Solitude
Went up an hour before sunset and did Sugarloaf first. Ran as far as I could up and made it up to the summit of Sugarloaf in about 35 minutes. Didn't see a soul after Cecret lake. I was really impressed with the views from the summit and enjoyed solitude on top...realized the sun was getting low so made a scramble for Baldy and made it over to the summit of Mt. Baldy in under 25 minutes. After chilling in solitude on the summit for 15 minutes or so, I got cold so I bombed all the way back to my car at the Cecret lake trailhead in 20 minutes. Awesome trip...definitely worth doing again as I was really impressed by the views of Timp, Hidden Peak, Pfeifferhorn, Lone, and the Cottonwood Ridge. If you want solitude, get to the summit around sunset time, watch the sunset and then get off the mountain. Good stuff.

Sorta Lame
Hiked up from Cecret Lake TH. Too many people. too much development. It kind ruined the experience for me. I also did Sugarloaf which was also kinda lame. the good thing was I had the actual summit to myself while I was there. i did see others on it before and after I was there. The views were good and so was the exercise but the overall experience was kinda blah.

Baldy
Combined with Sugarloaf. Thanks to the ski patrol for having the peak serve as their dump. Beautiful views into snowbird with the roads and skilifts. It inspired me to exclusively ski the backcountry from now on and not use resorts. Wildflowers were actually quite amazing.

Skied at Snowbird today, and hiked Baldy. I jumped off a cornice at the top, and had spotted the landing, thinking it was going to be soft. Completely wrong. It was harder than Jamie Pressley's abs. And skiing down was like trudging through mashed potatoes. But a beautiful day nonetheless.
