Great little addition to Thompson and Mickeys. Slid down the snow face with my Axe. Use Caution, It was dangerously Steep And I was haulling Ass. Absolutely do not do this without a way to self arrest because your life depends on it, The bottom is rock.

Great Views
Climbed Carter as one of 9 summits during an amazing 4-day backpacking trip in the Sawtooths. Quick easy climb from the Mickey/Carter saddle. Trip Report

Backpacked off trail into lake 9425, camped, and summited the next day just before a hellacious hailstorm struck, passed quickly, after which the sun came out for a beautiful afternoon descent.

E snow face
Thompson headwall and east snow face were a few hundred feet of fun, moderately steep snow. Summit was a complete snow dome. Awesome to still have this in June/July. Spectacular view South to rest of Sawtooths. At bottom swam in lake. Amazingly diverse day!

Mount Carter
Climbed up via the Thompson-Williams drainage, then headed over to the saddle between Mickey's and Carter. There was a fair amount of snow above 8600 feet. Beautiful day, great views.

Part o
Did Carter after Williams, Thompson, and Mickey's on a hot and sunny day. After Carter, I made it up Limbert, then down a rugged trail-less valley back to the Fishhook Creek drainage. From the saddle between Carter and Mickey's Spire, the scramble is straight forward Class 2.

Carter from Mickey's SpireNice to bag another peak but not as interensting summit as Mickey's Spire or Thompson, but a worthwhile detour nonetheless.
