Stunning Gold and Red from the Summit!
3 hrs 40 min C2C, and 1 hr 40 up. You can make it a 5th class adventure at the end, the summit has plenty of rock for that. I think I caught the autumn colors just in time, it wouldn't surprise me if snow is on the way. Plenty of people heading up and down, the Piper trail is well marked.

Liberty Trailhead Entry
What a blast. Starting from Liberty Street side you climb 2.7 steep miles on a mostly dirt covered path. This is where the fun starts. You take a left turn towards the peak. In the distance you get a nice peek at the peak about a mile away. As you get closer you realize things are about to get rocky. I would say the last mile is for seasoned hikers and those in decent shape. This ain't no walk in the park but the summit is a perfect 360 view of the Whites. My favorite climb to date.

Nice rocky summit!
Cloudy/foggy day but still a beautiful climb from the Champney Brook Trail. Can't wait to go back when it's clear.

Finally did Mount Chocorua!
Finally did this!
I’ve had this mountain on my bucket list since my early childhood but never got around to hiking it.
So many good things about this mountain.
The views from the summit are excellent; plenty of parking in the lot; and bathrooms at the trail head!!
We hiked the Champney Brook trail - very nice.
If you haven't hiked up Mount Chocorua I highly recommend it.
Here's a short video I did of the hike:

Climbed to the summit with Mike, Ben, Ken, and two Boy Scouts under clear but windy and cold conditions via the Liberty Trail. Stayed overnight at the Jim Liberty Cabin before descending the icy Brook Trail. Beautiful, easy climb.
Cloudy day, but a fun time on the Piper and Weedamoo Trail.

Piper Trail and back
Two hours and eighteen minutes up and two hours down. I didn't need microspikes until the final mile of the 4.5 miles but for that one mile, they were extremely useful. The final climb up the summit cone was pretty steep.

Turned back by wind. Again.
Just shy of the summit! The wind took my hat and gloves right from my bag. A few moments of fear..

Summer Hike
Champney Falls Trail to Piper. Early start so had the summit almost to ourselves and then passed the conga line of hikers on the way down. :) Gorgeous views for a relatively easy hike. We must go back in winter now!

Snowshoe via Champney Brook
Stopped below the summit cone because a member of our party had to turn back, but a wonderful snowshoe to the ridge, and a lovely scramble up to the last few hundred feet. Can't wait to hit it again.
