"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Fun mostly socially distant COVID hikeStarted at Mountain Lake and opted for the 7mi roundtrip. Easy going around the lake and to Twin Lakes, uphill started after. Lots of people at the top, but otherwise an enjoyable and mostly quiet hike for a Saturday in summer

Gorgeous ViewGorgeous views from the tower. I'm not going to say how we got the the summit, it was a mode of travel not befitting of a SP member......

Loop HikeStarted at Mountain Lake and made a loop with Constitution and Mount Pickett. Too many low clouds for any distant views but I could still see the water and some islands.

Beautiful Viewof two countries from the top!! If only the road to the summit was demolished, this would be an isolationists paradise! Conjuring similar feelings to my many experiences involving Logan Pass in GNP, the crowd was rough, but the views were worth it!
Started at Mountain Lake with Madelyn, headed to Twin Lakes. From there, we went up Mt. Pickett and returned to the saddle. Constitution was next, and the steep trail was a blast! We were the only hikers on the summit, and the youngest visitors by about 25 years!
Hit up Turtleback Peak the next day!

Beautiful DayLittle bit windy but excellent views and very easy access. The tower is more interesting than it looks in photos.

BikeUnsure of exact date. Rode my bicycle up the mountain from the state park campground at the base. Almost hit the pygmy deer on the way down!

Route: Parking LotOkay, so I didn't actually hike it. But I had done Rainier a few days prior. The view of Baker is fantastic though.

Witnessed A WA CoHP CompletionBob Bolton (WA CoHP completer #2), Duane Gilliland (WA CoHP completer #6), Edward Earl (WA CoHP completer # 7), and I (WA CoHP completer #10)... as well as five other people (Ken, Loretta, Rhonda, Pattie, Talia) watched Dennis Poulin become the 13th WA CoHP completer. It was the largest gathering of people to watch a WA CoHP completion occur. I found the date to be strangely appropriate: "10/13" also represented the first completer of the year (me, #10) and probably the last completer of the year (Dennis, #13).
This was my second trip to Mount Constitution, and a much more festive and enjoyable occasion than my first trip there.

nice hike from mtn lakeVery straightforward hike from parking lot at Mtn. Lake. First mile is somewhat steep - 1000 feet gain, but the remaining 2 miles only rise another 500 feet. Lots of great views on the way up. Don't see many people until you're near the summit, but then groups start to show up. Luck to have had an unseasonal clear day.
