Gondwanaland
Climbed as part of a "Gondwanaland" attempt from Square Top Mountain. Snow conditions slowed us down and we bailed after Mount Edwards.

Edwards and McClellan from Waldorf Mine
We enjoyed an absolutely beautiful day on Edwards and McClellan. Heck, I even enjoyed the drive up to the mine in the Jeep! We had a blue-bird day with barely a cloud in a sky and enjoyed 1,100 of glissading on the descent.

Edwards and McClellan
After a failed attempt on Edwards several years ago, it was time to try again. This time I was successful. Started at the old Waldorf Mill. While I was on the summit of Edwards by myself, I could look down on the Grays Peak trail and see a multitude of people hiking up Grays. Good to be by myself. On the way down I hit McClellan Mountain.

Horseshoe Basin
Got up pretty late this morning so didn't think I'd climb today. But the forecast was so good, I thought I'd try. Roach mentions Montezuma Road. Coming over Loveland Pass, I missed it, but found Gondola Road - which essentially turns into Montezuma, but I didn't know that at the time. Also, had to take the road slowly in my very low clearance Honda Fit. So I didn't start hiking until 10:30am. But it was great; saw practically no one (no one above the pass). A goat who wanted to summit, too, got my dog pretty worked up. Decided to get home and leave Argentine Peak et al for another day.
West ridge traverse after climbing Torreys and Grays. Nice summit away from the crowds.

last person up this decade?
climbed edwards on a fine winter day, much better than predicted! used a gully with minimal snow to reach the ridge just before the first false summit. wind on the ridge wasn't that bad, yet the ridge was tedious under the cover of snow!(#31)
It was a nice day away from the crowds on Grays and Torreys

Bumble Bees! Date Climbed: June 21 1987
This is an easy climb. I recall flying straight up the side of the mountain at a fast pace and I remember a lot of bees here.
One other notable memory: There was a group camped near us that alerted us that one of their camp members was "assaulted and raped" by a man driving a Yellow Chevy Luv truck. That was pretty memorable as a 9 year old ;)

Waldorf Mine & SE Ridge
Fun little tour from the Waldorf Mine. Up the East slopes and down the SE Ridge. Awesome views of Evans/Bierdstat to the East and Grey's/Torrey's to the west. Probably one of the best 1/2-day outings close to Denver.

This was my first time climbing Edwards. I then went over to McClellan and returned to Waldorf Mine trailhead. I also did Edwards 10-3-92 from Horseshoe Basin trailhead in a circle including Ruby, Grays & Argentine Pass. On 6-15-02 I did Grays and Edwards from Stevens Gulch to complete getting Edwards from each side and being on each ridge.
