Blue Summit Trail
Great hike with a good amount of elevation gain in minimal mileage.

Very prominent mountain
Ninety five minutes from the trailhead parking lot to the summit marker. The new visitors center is complete with balconies and signage identifying mountains from nearby all the way out to the horizon. Better than expected views.
Started at 1:50pm and reached the top at 3:08pm. Probably the first hike I've done with no stops from bottom to top. Pretty much covered in clouds with intermittent views to Manchester below.

celebrating equinox on equinox
For the vernal equinox I figured I should climb up Mt. Equinox (although a few days late). Snow was thick but well packed on the Blue Summit trail, so didn't have really any problems, and the weather wasn't too bad either. Saw a couple of mosquitoes though, despite the snow cover, so I guess it really is spring.

Construction Site
Climbed up the Blue Summit Trail while on vacation in Massachusetts. This climb kicked my butt, as I am sorely out of shape right now. The top was disappointing with the summit building being renovated; so, it was a huge construction site with much of it fenced off.

lazy roite
Took the car up with the old folks. Clouded, but still ok view.
But man the map you get when buying a ticket for the road is bad.

Steep Climb/Nice Views
Hiked up Burr-Burton Trail from Manchester, nice balsam forest near summit, went to Lookout Rock, then to Summit, down Toll Rd to the Saddle, back to Burr-Burton on old overgrown Red Trail. Great views from Lookout Rock/Summit/Hanglider Platform & Saddle.

Toll Road
We drove the road - no time for a long hike. Nice views. The building up top was open - uou could look inside. The tables seemed to be set, but no one was around. Spooky, man.

Mount Equinox
Climbed via the Blue Summit Trail from the Academy. Despite the respectable elevation gain this was a fairly easy hike. Nice views of the Green Mountains and Taconics from the summit hotel. Looked like it was going to rain for most of the day but it held off until we got back to the trailhead.
