I've been climbing at Erie for a couple years now. Love this place. The only problem with Erie is that from Bellingham Squamish is only another 45-1hr drive away.

One of the greatest places to introduce newcomers to the spectacular natural beauty of the north Puget Sound basin. Best views of Mt. Baker, the Olympics, North Whidbey, Deception Pass, and Fidalgo Island. Yes, you can camp if you set it up after dark, and break by daybreak, if you know what I mean. If you're not a rock climber or hangglider enthusiast yourself, a great place to spectate!

Trail #216Took the in between way, not the road but not the climb. Surprisingly nice forest to hike through and some good if cloudy views from the summit.
