Bierstadt/Sawtooth/Evans bushwack
Sawtooth Traverse was fun. Evans peak very crowded with tourists. Bushwack back to Guanella pass not so fun. Just missed getting caught in a killer T-Storm!
After an uneventful summit of Bierstadt my friend and I took the sawtooth which was what I was mostly psyched for. Had a great time scrambling...helped lead some other hikers with maps and completely quizzical looks on their faces through the sawtooth. Then took a very shady and not actual trail down from the "v" of the sawtooth...adrenaline rush, gotta love it! Would definitely do the sawtooth again!

From Summit Lake
Climb Mt Evens in the morning, then catch a Rockies game in the afternoon. Sat back at the game and looked at Mt. Evens most of the game. Got to love Colorado!!

Evans/Bierstadt
Nice hike across Sawtooth, but there were too many people on Evans and the weather was starting to turn bad.

I climbed up there along time ago. I don't remember what trail i started on, but i remember that the hike was pretty short, and my ears freaking hurt!

From Guanella Pass
Tried this the year before by going over Mt. Bierstadt and the Sawtooth, but the weather didn't cooperate. Instead, shortcutted Mt. Bierstadt and went up the steep gully from Guanella Pass (and the willows...ugh) to summit Mt. Evans.
Would've been more of a thrill, except for all the people at the top that felt like they'd accomplished something by hiking from the parking lot 50 feet below!

Evans via Sawtooth
Great hike. Started at the evans/epaulet saddle, hiked bierstadt's east ridge (very nice class 3 with great exposure), sawtooth to evans and back to the car.

Took the Easy Way
No, I didn't drive up! But, we (my son and I) hiked the scree field from Summit Lake (Northeast Face I). Great view during the drive, hike and summit, despite threatening weather (it started raining at end of descent). Then we were headed back home to Oklahoma!

My daughter took an hour nap at the summit. Stayed at summit two hours. Lots and lots of loud people at the top who drove up. In fact the low point at the high point was listening to someone's car alarm going off. Not too serene... Fourth 14er for me, 2nd for her and her favorite stuffed animal, Polo bear.

Sunny and warm with chance of Goats
I met a bunch of goats and summited in a t-shirt with wintery views all around. What more could I ask for, eh?
