Wind River Range Slam Peak 17 of 29
This was our 17th peak, of a 2 week Wind River Slam where I climbed all the 13ers in the Winds and finished the Wyoming 13ers on August 3, 2020. We traversed to Febbas after climbing Turret and Sunbeam via Backpackers Pass.
Solo hike from camp at Wilson Meadows. Climbed via Blaurock Pass.

Mt. Febbas
From Blaurock Pass I passed to the right of a prominent butress but stayed close to it as I climbed, rather than enter a gully, so that I could scramble on firmer rock. Soon I passed behind the buttress, crossed the top of the gully, and crossed the remaining plateau area to the summit. The ascent from the pass took 37 minutes. Earlier I had climbed from my tentsite at 10,500 ft near the Glacier Trail to Blaurock Pass and the made the side trip to Sunbeam Pk and back.
