Great outing
My wife Penelope and I scrambled up this peak from Lamoille Camp, July 26, 2022. There was still snow in the bowl, we used crampons to get to the tarn. A bit of scrambling up the central gully. Wonderful Rubies view from top. Long trip for us.

Strenuous Day!
Finding safe creek crossing was time-consuming, followed by very long day. Class 3 up the Left Cirque, snow-crossing by Tarn, steep scramble up cliffs to ridge and summit. Disturbed mountain goats on top. Challenging, but satisfying, for our age (over 70).

Round trip: Noon to 21:33. More epic than last year's climb up.
Will have a trip report out on this this week, but had an epic time yesterday, starting at the Camp Lamoille TH and finishing in the dark. Part of the hike back was in pouring rain, the first time I'd been in the canyon during a rain storm. 9.5 hours round trip. Saw two mountain goats. Was a wild time once again up there.
Your report on peakbagger convinced me that the snow wasn't too bad to make it up there this past weekend. Thank you kindly sir.

Awesome day beneath a sun dog!
What a day it was to solo "Tha Gilb," as I like to call the magestic Mount Gilbert. I have some awesome pics, so I'm planning on doing a trip report on it. Spent 11 hours out there. Was one awesome climb that included looking up and seeing a "sun dog" ;)

Great Climb
Great climb up the north face cirque. Axe and crampons used for the upper snow field. First time in the Rubies. I will be back. Trip Report

From Camp Lamoille
Brutal slush-slog up from the valley. I picked up the left-hand ridge ASAP, and was rewarded with excellent class 3-4 climbing, but was too tired to keep going to Silliman. Trip report.

From Lamoille Canyon

Gorgeous day!
Snow conditions were a little sketchy, but it was a fun and challenging outing. The view from the top was remarkable! We found out later that people camping at the trailhead had watched us climb through a telescope. Neat!
