High reward to effort ratio
In my opinion Gould has the highest “reward to effort” ratio of the 45 peaks I’ve climbed in Glacier. The views from the top are staggering and the effort to get there is not extreme.
I used the shortcut route from GTTS Road near Weeping Wall, suggested in Edwards’ guide, to cut off several miles hiking in on Highline Trail. Note that this shortcut route is now roped off at the bottom due to erosion from foot traffic.
The scramble from Highline Trail to the summit is relatively straightforward with a little routefinding around broken cliffs. Near the top, it was helpful to tend to the south a bit and then back north to the summit - following is a fairly visible climbers track.

Mt Gould
Fun scrambling! Lots of class 3 maybe some 4 options to chose from on the way up if I remember correctly. Its a pick your own adventure kinda climb. Incredible views of Grinnell down below.

best climb ever
to date my favorite climb. so fun navigating all the cliff bands. just dont forget to wait for the slowest person in the group. my bad, sorry luke. made it though :)
Took a trip to the park to visit some friends. I kept up with Sean and X while climbing, but dang I hadn't laid a boot on trail at all that summer until that day. The legs were not my friend the next day.

An incredibly surprising climb
Climbed this as a back up plan and wasn't sure what to expect. The climbing was incredibly fun and the views are amazing. Possibly the best of grinnell glacier in the park.

Above The Clouds
Climbed this beast again with my son - Brendan, his friend - Tanner and John V. We were above the clouds all day and enjoyed seeing the peaks sticking out above the clouds.

Reunion
My buddy from Vegas climbed this 33 years ago when he was 18 working in the park. He wanted to do it again so we did. Was really cold, foggy, windy. Views were horrible :(
2009 - w/ large group, including Natalie Savage on her 21st birthday.
2010 - w/ large group
Both times via Haystack Creek route

Mind Shattering
Not only one of the best views in Glacier, but in all of North America. I can't speak for the world having not travelled it. Stunning. Though the climb up was brutal. Clouds swirled around me and I got rained on some in retreat after the summit. Hard to find a route, but almost any can be invented past a little band of white rock. The view down to Grinnell Mountain and its lake and Glacier is jaw-dropping. And storms far off were bombing Iceberg Peak and Mt Merritt to black shadow shapes. Below Angel's Landing looks like a tiny hill, but don't be fooled- that is one of the best views in the park too of a thousand foot ribbon of a waterfall from Grinnell Lake. Check my images soon and I will show you why to climb this one.

Gould
This one mentally unlocked for me what was possible in Glacier. We climbed the day after it snowed. Nothing but bluebird skies and snowcapped peaks. BLOWN AWAY by the views.

My Final Logan Pass Summit
Loved the views from the summit, but not fond of the climb, way to much loose stuff. Probably my least favorite of all the mountains in the Logan Pass area.

Gem Glacier, then traversed to West Face
Climbed with a group of seven park employees. One ranger, four boat captains, and houseman, and a bellboy (me). Beautiful weather. We climbed to Gem Glacier from the Highline trail, which was spectacular. Unfortunately, the NW ridge route was blocked by snow. So, we traversed east until we reached a suitable spot to ascend the west face. After seven hours, we reached the top, and it was absolutely beautiful.

Whoa
Always heard the views from Gould were nice...but I was still blown away! Climbed with Keith Sweith and Jeff Street, on a gorgeous July day in 2k11. Perfect snowbank on the summit ridge for a lunch shelter!

Great climb. Excellent view of Grinnell Glacier. Definitely exhausting. Climbed with Dan from MN, my official 2011 climbing partner.
