Sunrise on the Summit
Hiked up the Hopper, overnighted at the campsite and headed up the AT pre-dawn for sunrise on the summit!

Trail run on a nice fall day
Ran it on the first day of a 6 day trail run from Vermont to NT on the AT. Been up Greylock numerous times from many directions, but this one kicked my butt while running up it! I was hurting when I woke up the next day to continue on my way south.

Crowded at top
Nice mountain on a beautiful day but really crowded at the top. I was surprised at all the day trippers and families at the summit parking lot. Took a few pics and skedadled.
Part of a couple day 26 mile stint on the AT. beautiful views

Nice tower and views of the surrounding towns
Had a nice afternoon hike after knocking out Frissell in the morning. Met a couple highpointers at the top. Was all in all a great day.

Nice winter hike
Not too warm, not too windy, pretty much perfect hike in fresh snow. Cool ice formations on the pine needles near the top. State hp#21 for me

Mass is proud of their highpoint!
Nice hike, most of which was on the App Trail. The monument on top was the largest and most extravagant i've seen yet. Massachusetts must be very proud of Greylock. State HP #10 for me.

This was my first stop during a big NE USA peakbagging trip. I drove to the summit parking lot, and then walked from there. I immediately noticed that several people were slanted as they walked; the wind was *that* strong when I visited there. I climbed up the spiral staircase in the summit tower, too. When I got back to my car, the weather shifted to intense rain and wind, which lasted as I headed west into New York to continue my trip. This was my 43rd State Highpoint.

Beautiful hike up my first state (home state) high point. Still cold at the top and felt more like late winter than spring during the hike. Hiked past the plane crash site near the AT.
