Loop via Mt. Townsend
Flew the night before from Sydney (where I left my family) to Canberra, rented a car, slept a few hours at a motel on the road and was hiking at first light via Mt. Townsend and a loop back, total 6 hours, then drove back to Canberra, caught my flight back to Sydney and was having dinner with them that night.
I know I was 9 yo the first time I reached the top, in heavy snow in May School Hols I think? Went back the next year and there was no snow to speak of and it was like a walk down the road but very scenic, even for the eyes of a 10yo.

Nice summer hike
Beautiful weather and very crowded. Took wife on the chairlift from Thredbo and walked the trail in about 90 minutes. Great scenery with about 50 folks at the summit marker.

Nice trip
A beautiful region of Australia - certainly different from any other I visited while I lived there. I spent a couple of days around Kosciuszko and really enjoyed the area.

During YFU exchange
Certainly an easy hike, but enjoyable - I was on top of Australia!
Rocked up to the trailhead in the late-afternoon, intending to unroll my swag on the boardwalk to the overview at Charlotte Pass, but I thought before I turned in, I'd take a quick shufti up the path leading toward Kozzie.
Off I tromped into the evening. Very pleasant: nice views overlooking Blue Lake, the Main Range, and the source of the Snowy. Before I knew it, though, I was at Seaman's Hut, and there I figured, "what the heck..." and continued on up to the summit. I was back to the car and most of the way to Jindabyne before it got dark.
The crux of the climb was keeping my mouth shut tightly enough to exclude the flies, which were black in the sky.

.. then the only real route: Hannel's spur
Back again next day to follow the only vertical mile route on the Australian mainland and the only real route on Kozzie: Hannel's spur, a once popular route, but now completely overgrown, with no discernible track!
Bushbashing extraordinaire from 400m to the summit at 2200m in two days, including a night camping at Moiras flats.
Thanks to Lincoln, Mike and Glen for joining 'Kozzie the hard way'..

First the tourist route...
Nice circular trek from Charlottes pass, back via main range trek, with a sidestep to Mt Townsend's summit, total about 25km. Not really a climb, but beautiful area.

Charlotte Pass
Sunny and clear morning followed the windy and snowy night. Fresh snow melted as we walked to the Summit. All way to the Summit from Charlott Pass and back took us 3,5 hours.
Route Climbed: Charlotte Pass/Main Ridge circle, via Blue and Albina Lakes
Pleasant day out from Tar Gan Gil Lodge at Charlotte Pass. Unfortunately, "Blue" Lake wasn't. The crux was the 3km or so of interlocking paving stone down to and up from the Snowy River. Very hard on the knees. Lots of wildflowers and a nasty looking little snake while traversing Carruthers peak to provide diversion. The whole 22km circuit took a gentle 6 hours or so with lots of time out for photos and detours up neighbouring tors etc.
Route Climbed: Charlotte Pass Date Climbed: 30 December 2005
Three of us enjoyed a pleasant hike up this gentle peak. Still snow in places that had been heavily corniced. The flies were super annoying but didn't detract too much from the great views.
Route Climbed: From Charlotte's Pass Date Climbed: January 2002
High winds, cold on top. Those who took the shorter Thredbo route came up in shorts and were freezing! I loved the mountain hut -- spent some time looking through the journal of who had weathered out the storms.
Route Climbed: Summer - normal; Winter - north ridge Date Climbed: Several winter and summer ascents
The summit and the landscape take a whole new different and enchanting character in winter compared to summer - if you can, get out there in winter on skis (and no crowds).
Route Climbed: from Thredbo centre Date Climbed: November 2000
Although it seems to be an easy hike, we experienced some quick changing weather which made it quite a challenge to get to the summit and unfortunately the weather was too bad too have a nice view from the summit.
