Route Climbed: Main Trail Date Climbed: August 28, 2005
What should have been an easy hike was made more difficult by booze and food from the night before. In the summit register from 8/17/05 it said "Lion Kill just off trail, be careful". A few snow fields still visable.
Route Climbed: Mt. Lola North Direct and North Ridge Traverse Date Climbed: 2 July 2005
A longer day than expected, mostly because of more snow than expected (ie: more than "none"). Last 400 vertical feet on Lola North was a hairy snow slope in hiking shoes (not even boots) and fingers for ice axe. Last visit to Lola North was 2 weeks ago, at least two other groups summitted Lola proper today, braving endless snow field crossings. So much for July!
Route Climbed: Mt. Lola Trail Date Climbed: July 8, 2004
A very enjoyable summit which I had all to myself. I had to kill a lot of mosquitoes on the way up but the trail is a delight with the stream nearby most of the way. Some snow patches to cross near the top but that adds to the alpine feeling. Nice view spot. I must have had the 7th in my mind as I dated the summit register with that lucky number. Lola is the highpoint of Nevada county so always nice to pick up when you chase county highpoints as I do.
I went north and tagged the summit of Sierra county highpoint, North Lola and crosscountried down to the trail, hitting an old logging road about 500 feet down on the east side.
Met my summitpost friend, Keema as i was nearing my vehicle at the trail head. Small world indeed but I did have a close call with a downhilling mountain biker that nearly
Route Climbed: North Ridge (ascent) / East Shoulder (descent) Date Climbed: Feb 14, 2004
After a failed first attempt a few months earlier, Matthew and I returned for a second effort and found the weather considerably more cooperative. A very enjoyable winter outing. Trip Report

Route Climbed: Mt Lola Trail - North Ridge Date Climbed: June 12, 2004Still a fair amount of snow on the way to the top, but I was still able to follow the trail blazes. Tagged the N ridge on the way back.
