Bringing Youth to the Game
I took 6 high school students + 1 other chaperone on this short walk in the woods as we were on our way to the ELCA National Youth Gathering in New Orleans.
We only walked up the .5-mile from the campground area, but the kids enjoyed the break from driving and didn't seem to mind too much the extra driving time that this side-trip tacked on. They were most thrilled with the views from the south side of Magazine Mountain near the lodge. Beautiful day, fairly cool weather.

Signal Hill trail
A short, easy walk to the high point area where the Arkansas stone map was a nice work of art to admire. However, gazing at the autumn colors from the cliff edges was the highlight of this mountain.

Snow and Ice
Stayed at Lodge, great place to stay and eat. Snow storm the day before had left the mountain covered in snow and ice. easy walk to summit site via maintained trail.

34 degrees and foggy. Short and sweet, but the south isn't supposed to be this cold.

Ozark HP
Woods on the peak and surrounding area were lush and verdant. Campground was full, but no one was walking up the path to the highpoint while I was there near sundown.

after my first year I got 19 HP's and 2nd year none it was good to be back. Let it was quite perilous. Rock slides, avalanches, and radioactive squirrels were quite a match. After the 4.357min run/walk I was the winner

Beautiful spring hike
Lovely, windy, cool spring day. Arkansas, your high point was surprisingly lovely and covered in wildflowers.
I disagree that it's overdeveloped; I'm glad to see some high points accessible to people of many abilities.
Best of the 4 state HPs my son, Lance and I've done this week. Beautiful State Park with nice amenities. My first time in Arkansas and I wasn't disappointed.
