A 730 am, day-after-Labor Day start was rewarded with complete solitude. Leisurely, photo-heavy hike, especially on the return. Some optional class 3 made a bit of the ridge up exhilarating. Drove a couple days later, up from Midway into Wasatch State Park and noted the more impressive vertical prominence from that side.

Brighton Ridge
First peak of the Brighton Ridge Run. Started from Brighton base.
Hiked with RDB in I believe August 2015. Nice hike that is a short drive from SLC to get out of the valley heat. Although there were huge crowds in Brighton, there were only a few people on the trail.

From Brighton
This was a great place to be on a warm summer day. We ate lunch, took a nap and did yoga on the summit. Relaxed little mountain!

Lovely
Originally intended to do the Brighton Ridge Run, but my body wasn't agreeing with me. Saw spectacular views of Brighton and Park City. Hiked up from Brighton.
Completed two easier peaks (10,420 and Tri-County Peak) on my way to this one.

Clayton Peak
Hiked to the summit from Guardsman Pass. There easy to follow climbers trails the entire way. The fall foliage (9/24) in this area is perhaps the best the Wasatch has to offer. Round trip with a moderate but picture taking pace was under two hours.

Loop from Guardsman
Hiked up from Guardsman. Police were ticketing cars on the side of the road with tires over the white line-be careful!. Nice hike up- picked lots of wild gooseberries and raspberries. From the peak I scrambled along the ridgeline and dropped down to Lacawaxen Lake through the pines just east of the lake, then took the trail back to Blood's and the parking lot. Just under 4 miles round trip- great hike!

Up from Lackawaxen
My wife and I went out to Lackawaxen lake around sunset and then took the ridge on the far side of the lake up and around to the summit. We saw a snowmobile just below the ridge tied to a tree - must have got stuck the previous winter. We hit the summit after sunset and took the standard route back to the car in the moonlight. It was cold.

From Brighton
Climbed up from Brighton with my wife and members of the Wasatch Mountain Club. Fun little hike with beautiful views of the central Wasatch range. The views of Timp are incredible! Wild flowers and butterflies were out in force. Pretty quiet going up, but we encountered hordes of people on the lower portions of the trail on our descent. Fun day!
Hiked up from Gaurdsman Pass. Nice views of Brighton and Solitude. Ran down and got a runner's high on the way to Lackawaxan Lake! Then to Bloods lake and home.
Hiked up from Guardsman with my buddies Pit/Lab. Had a great time boulder hoping at the top then dropped down to the lake on the eastern slope. Anyone know its name?
