North-South traverse
Spur of the moment hike while in the area with Bob. Surprisingly rugged terrain around here. Glorious weather, and a long and thoroughly enjoyable day.

Route Climbed: Northwest Boulder Scramble
From Markham Saddle took the Mount Lowe trail approximately 100 yards along the Northwest base of Markham. Followed an obvious Boulder chute up. Eventually it becomes pretty loose and sandy but you eventually gain the summit. Beautiful fall day, views were hazy. Conitnued on to Mt. Lowe, San Gabriel Peak and Mt. Disappointment.

8 HPS 1 day
Climbed 8 HPS this day: San Gabriel, Disappointment, Markham, Occidental, Wilson, Lowe, Barley Flats, Sally. Better planning and someone could easily climb 15-20.

Traverse N-S
Part of a 13-peak HPS-o-rama with Matthew. Much Fun. Trip Report

Have done this peak that sits across Markham Saddle from its taller neighbor San Gabriel Peak numerous times. Its ridge route makes it a little more interesting than say, the trail routes to Mt. Lowe or San Gabriel Peak.
