From LLP
A long trek via the ridge for my altitude-inept self. Was so happy to finally get to Morgan, only to find out that what you see from the ridge the whole time is a false summit.
Outstanding views on a clear day. Going down the west face (about a 3rd of a way down the ridge) was just awful though.

Hiked this with Ambret. Stunning views of Little Lakes Valley and the many peaks that line it.

I missed the use trail up the sandy slopes near Francis Lake, thus was subject to needless boulder hopping. Cool summit.

Summitted with Ruvicha. Great trail to Francis Lake. From there, some trail but lots of boulder-hopping to and up the northwest ridge. Nice views of Little Lakes Valley, Starr, Dade, Abbott and Mills plus countless others. A long day for us but definitely worth it.

From Francis Lake via NW Ridge
Took standard approach from Rock Creek Lake. Good trail to Francis Lake, then fairly easy cross-country to the main ridge. Class 1 boulder-hop from there, class 2 scramble right below summit. Great views across Little Lakes Valley and beyond. Smoke from Aspen Fire was drifting in from the west, so we didn't linger too long. Decided to tag nearby Twelve Flags (did not know name at the time) on the way back.

Nice long Class 3/4 scramble from LLP. Climbed Morgan summit block from south side, that sure felt 5th Class to me! Descent down to Hidden Lakes was a nightmare of scree, tallus, and 4th/5th Class down climbing - not so cool when solo.

Morgan
From Little Lakes valley with Jon G. Do not go up this way as the rock near the top of the chutes is really loose.

Trailhead?
We got to Rock Creek Lake just before dark and missed the trailhead on the way in. We drove all the way to the end of the road and camped there near the outhouse, but no one knew where the TH was. In the morning I checked Goggle Maps and saw that the TH was before that so we walked back and found it. Then we somehow missed the sign and trail to Francis Lake, which we realized when we got to the Dorothy Lake junction sign. After backtracking and finding the correct trail it was an easy and uneventful hike to the summit, mostly able to follow the use trail all the way up.

From Francis Lake
A last minute decision to dayhike this peak with minimal beta, but ended up great. Unacclimated so moving slowly, but the route was excellent - fun and easy. The trick was skipping the Francis drainage and moving straight up the ridge and sand. Coming down was fast and fun in the sand. Amazing views, great day. No register though. :(

Beat the storm
Three of us left the trailhead around 8:00am and got to the summit just before Noon. Intermittent rain and storm clouds appeared just as we started to descend from the summit. Then just as we got back in the car at the trailhead, torrential rains started.

Via Francis Lake
A bit less than five hours to the top from the Tamarack Lake trailhead near Rock Creek Lake (or 3.5 hours from Francis Lake).
Almost no boulder hopping if you find a proper route. I followed Harry Langenbacher's advice. Three hours back to the trailhead. Incredible views! Both the register and its container are stolen.
A brief trip report is available.
