Week day, and the Seahawks were playing, hence the small crowd this day. Cool little hike, and enjoyed the 360 platform on the lookout tower for soaking up the views. Mountain blueberries were plentiful and delicious..

Up Pilchuck
Climbed the mountain, survived the torrents of people (and at least a dozen dogs)coming up later that morning.

Clear & Sunsets
Late afternoon hike. The sunset was blood red and the views were amazing. Always a great hike for those who need a dose of life again.

Pilchuck
Clear skies, no wind, and starting at first light made this an incredible and nearly solitary hike.
Climbed Pilchuck many times, it's my go-to hike when I get a mountain craving but don't have time to plan or research a new one. Not a good hike if you are seeking solitude. It's a highway of people most days. Good if it's your first solo hike! Impossible to get lost with the never ending stream of people and pets.
I've climbed Pilchuck lots of times, starting from a sixth grade field trip. I've seen the wonderful views from the top and also been up there with about 30ft visibility from fog. Sometimes in the snow and sometimes on rock. It's is a great training hike with rewarding views on nice days.

Snow Runnin'
I drastically underestimated the amount of snow that would be on the mountain and figured I could just run up and back. A little bit of frostbite on the ankles was my punishment, regardless, it was a helluva fun run/climb and a slide-on-my-butt back down. Gorgeous views of the North Cascades.

I remember a freshman college outing I partook in. I'm pretty sure this was what we 'climbed' though I was distracted by some girl named Julie during most of the adventure... no wait, it was this peak. We started chanting: How many pills could a Pilchuck chuck if a pilchuck could chuck pills! Dumb kids we were.

PB&Js on Pilchuck with Pops
Took my father up this one to escape the city. The weather looked unpredictable, so we got an early start on the trail (7AM) and were second to the lookout. Bouldered and explored around the summit, soaking in the 360 degree late summer views. On the descent, the clouds rolled in just as the majority of the hikers came up...

Nice hike
Nice hike up in the snow and ice. Lookout was open and provided a nice place for lunch. No views due to cloud cover.
