The Five-Spot Burnet (Zygaena trifolii) is a day-flying moth, which belongs to the Zygaenidae Family. In the Low Beskid it can be found in mountain glades from mid June through mid August. Its favorite plants are White Clover (Trifolium) and Bird's-foot Trefoil (Lotus corniculatus). Its wingspan ranges between 30 -40 milimeters. The prominent bright dots are warning to predators about the moth's toxicity both caterpillars and adult forms contain hydrogen cyanide).
