so the plan was to ski rose... until we got up there and saw that rose had almost no snow coverage... instead, we skied nearby tamarack peak (9897'), which was an absolute blast!
With Adam Helman, our fifth peak in three days. Nice way to end the trip.

Second Peak of the GV peakbaggin' frenzy
Bagged it with Rad. Made it from trailhead to summit in 1 Hr 45 Mins. Great 360 degree view from the summit. Moderate amount of people. Took a 20 minute detour to bag neighboring Church Peak also.

Main Path
Easy hike and lots of people doing this one, young and old, try running up and down to make it more of a hike. Trail is clear and easy to follow all the way to the peak. Lots of wild life on the top this month, From Reno Hangover crew, 2.5hr round trip.

Lots of snow & puppies
Like a Disney movie - snow, woodland creatures and lots of puppies! Felt almost guilty - views are almost too stunning for such a fast & easy hike!

Generally followed the summer trail, but headed straight for the peak after some wandering in the main gully. Took two attempts and a nighttime exit, but was a beautiful trip.

This was an excellent peak for gaining crampon experience and ice axe work. Since there is no trail it took us almost a full day to reach the top and to come back down but considering a five thousand foot elevation gain, this was not too bad. Lots of snow, lots of plunge stepping, and lots of fun. The tourist trail definetly does not do this mountain justice.
