First peak in CLNP
was the highest in the park (easy trip though)! Maddie and I walked the pleasant trail to the summit after spending a night at Diamond Lake. I would recommend this one, as the view (expansive) vs effort (two hours) trade off was a pretty good deal.

Beautiful unsmoky day
I assumed this would be a smoky hike but it ended up being a beautifully clear day over Crater Lake. A really nice little hike with a good view.

Best view
My 11 year old daughter accompanied me to the top of Crater Lake NP during a family camping vacation
This is a fantastic and easy walk to Crater Lake NP's high point. Even on a Friday in peak season we did not find it to be too crowded (though it certainly was popular).
While the views of Crater Lake may not be the favorite of most, I really enjoyed seeing the outer slopes of Mazama from a different angle.

Climbed while visiting Crater Lake NP. Incredible hike, definitely one of my favorites, fairly easy but with unbelievable views the entire way and a very cool summit area. Had a good time chatting with some folks up there, it's a great place, I don't generally like repeating my efforts but I might have to because this peak is incredible. Love this one, would absolutely recommend

Mt. Scott Run
Ran up Mt. Scott on a sunny Sunday. Record high temperatures in the area meant a pleasant summit with temperatures in the 50's. Great visibility for late October and no snow to be seen on any surrounding peaks, a rarity for this time of year. Crater Lake was possibly the darkest blue I've seen it, and was rimmed with ice all the way around which added a neat effect. You can see video of the run here:

Surprisingly snowy. Had to bike to the trailhead because the gate was still closed.

12 peaks in 2 days
A solo trip which I started with Misery Ridge at Smith Rock. From there I stopped for a hike up Black Butte on my way to Crater Lake. At the lake I hiked up the 5 primary peaklets around the lake and a few minor ones before driving to Yamsay Mountain for the final hike. See the trip report.
My nephew and I climbed via the trail, some snow on the trail and a lot of rime on the summit. The clouds tried to lift, but kept coming back in and we only got a partial view of the lake. Saturday had better weather, but the road was closed for a bike event so we will have to come back sometime if we want the view.

Larvitour Side Trip
I'm not nearly ready for Mt. Hood, but I still wanted to hike something in Oregon this summer as I passed through, so I settled for this National Park high point rather than the state one. It turned out to be a quick morning hike: one hour up and another down. Despite the clouds and fog, there was still a decent view of the lake from the summit. On my way down I saw this tiny little girl making her way up with kid-sized trekking poles (accompanied by parents, of course)--adorable!

Nice hike but very smoky
So many wildfires in 2015! We didn't see too much and when we drove to one of the overlooks that evening after the hike, the entire lake basin filled with thick smoke from yet another brand new fire!
