Evening jaunt
Got up to the top in time for sunset...the haystack is a fun little scramble, and I had it all to myself. Headed back down to the parking lot with the help of a headlamp. Fun hike.
I have climbed this peak 4 times. It is a perfect intermediate hike to prepare for things like St. Helens. The Haystack at the top is a perfect scramble, even if there is always about 10 people on it.
My first summer in Seattle I hiked this with friends at work. When they saw the Haystack, they said, "No, thanks." I then had to politely excuse myself and solo it.

Old Si Trail
A lovely hike, though a bit repetitive. Coming out of the tree line was a magnificent experience. Wonderful 1/4-1/2 day hike.

Watch out for snow, even in late spring. Bring a Jacket
It was a good climb, but I should have brought a jacket, the weather at the top can be unpredictable.
Hiked this as a training hike, should have found a training hike for this one.

Couldn't climb the spire to reach the summit due to heavy snow on the rocks and cold temps. No visibility but short and sweet for Thanksgiving.

Training for Baker
Car to car in 5hrs - got up early and beat the heat / lot of other people to the top. Haystack scramble was fun - was able to get down before a congo line of people going up / coming down started as well. Bluebird day

Decent day, only a little precipitation toward the top. Visibility low however.
