Found some beer!
Meant to do Kit Carson and Day this day but had on trailhikers and there was too much snow, so headed up from Beauty Mountain to Mt. Spokane instead. A few snowfields left but nothing I couldn't get around on this. Looks like someone went up there with a bunch of Icicle Brewery German Chocolate Cake Beer and one dropped in the snow for me to find. Thank you lazy litterbug, I will enjoy it.
Edit-I didn't enjoy it. Beer should not taste like coconut.

First mountain hike
I remember hiking to the top with my family as a child. Very easy, a great day hike, you can drive to the top if you so desire!
It was a rainy day down in the lower elevations. The weather on the mountain was actually quite nice and clear above a layer of clouds. There were no other hikers on the trails either.

Road biked
This wasn't my first time up here, but I've always rode the lift up, this time I biked up from Mead, WA. Cool views in the Summer and fun to ride back down.
Mount Spokane is a good day destination in all seasons. Sunsets from the mountain can be fantastic...

Moose attack
Climbed from the lowest trail. When we got to the top it was very windy. When coming down I stumbled upon a mother moose protecting her child. Almost got trampled, but than God it turned around before trampling me.
Drove up to summit on the way back to TriCities, hiked up Blacktail Mountain near Cocolalla the day before. Girlfriend Kelsey made the hike with me!

Over the halfway mark for WA!
While en route to Montana for the weekend, my family took a side-trip to the summit of Mount Spokane. The weather was great, and there was no snow at the summit ridge except for a few minor patches near the communication tower. The Vista House was very interesting, as were the rocky slabs on the upper slopes near that side of the mountain. Mount Spokane put me over the 50% mark for WA CoHPs (20/39), and I could not have asked for better company to enjoy the moment.
I've hiked, biked, snowshoed, skinned, and ran up this mountain too many times to count. I always have a great time and I'm very thankful to have such a great place in my backyard.

Hiked to the top
Combined it Kit Carson from the parking about a mile up from the ranger station. Scared off a bear along the way.
