Temple
It was fun, make sure you wear a helmet for falling rocks from other climbers. It’s not a hike, so if you are a beginner don’t do this one. Bring a day pack with layers of clothing. We saw a few people very under prepared wearing just a shorts and sports bra and flip flops at the summit at dusk. I’ll bet they got really uncomfortable on the way down.

The crux of the trip is to arrive early enough to get a parking on Morraine lake. 6 AM is almost late.
Gorgeous day otherwise, easy to bag summit via the West side/ridge.

Successful Climb in Late August

What View?
It was clear the day before and the day after. The day of the climb it was snowing heavily and 24F on the summit. Oh well. Maybe I'll make it back someday.

Late snow
Had a a great time attempting Mount Temple. For a couple of Floridians to tackle this without appropriate gear in June with a late snow melt, we gave it a good shot, but did not summit. We will definitely be back. Absolutely gorgeous and fun climb. Made a short movie about the climb. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/22_7oFwPryQ

East Ridge
Climbed the East Ridge which was one of the best mountaineering routes I've ever done! Swapped leads w/ Dom on the Big Step, soloed the rest. 13 hours RT.

Temple of doom
Headed out to the hills to find something to do....My "friend" ended up at Mt. Temple. I begrudgingly followed. ALL I rememeber is hating him, not having nearly enough water, and sleeping on the way home.

Great straightforward scramble
Hiked with my family and other hikers to treeline to maintain the 4-person minimum party size. Then I hiked to the summit and my family hiked back down with other hikers. The scrambling was relatively easy compared to some places like the Maroon Bells. I was feeling really good and despite no acclimatization time, I easily reached the 11,600 foot summit. It was 2.5 hours from the pass to the summit and much less time going down. There were plenty of other hikers on the way down to once again form minimum parties of four hikers. There was a reported grizzly bear sighting that day near the trail, so it is wise to adhere to the 4-person minimum party size below the treeline.
Climbed this on a clear summer day with two childhood buds. An incredible peak, and surprisingly accessible (i.e. very little technical skill required). It simply took my breath away but that may be the +11,000' altitude

Incredible
Absolutely incredible. We made the summit despite the poor weather forecast; it actually turned out to be a very nice day with just scattered showers and no lightning storms. No views at the top except a huge cornice and no visible boundary between it and the white fog. Amazing mountain in an amazing setting.

Absolutely outstanding views and a solid, solid day. Even if it is the "tourist route". Views down across Larch Valley into the Ten Peaks are unforgettable.

SW Ridge
Fun climb up the standard route. Beautiful approach, and a little route finding made for a fun day. Plenty of loose rock and other climbers, so a helmet is recommended. Made good time and summited in just over 3 hours, so decided to climb Eiffel too. Trip Report

Standard route
Originally intending to do Deltaform and maybe some other stuff, I was put off by the Mandatory Bear Closure sign and formed a temporary Polish-Russian-Ukranian-American alliance to fend off bears and rangers to attempt the standard route in the clouds. I (of course) managed to get off-route, incurring a scree-slog to the south ridge, then a scramble up that to the summit. Trip report.
