Combo with Mt Arkansas from Mosquito Gulch
Climbed up to the connecting ridge with Mount Buckskin, climbing a little more than half of it en route. Headed to Mount Arkansas next. Taking the tundra meadow to access the small pass south of Tweto would have been easier; I descended that way which was a nice way to finish. Great day, no one else around!

To Buckskin from the saddle between Tweto and Buckskin. Then reversed to Tweto. Basically, park at the mentioned fork in Mosquito drainage right before you'd cross the creek. Walk the road (leads north) all the way to the dilapidated roof structure which resembles my first apartment after college. The rusty mattress also brings nostalgia. Anyway. A cable extends through the air to a former mine on the hill. Hike to that mine. Then hoof it over loose class 2-ish rubble to the ridge. I hit Buckskin first, then climbed the entire ridge back to Tweto and then came down the saddle to the south of Neato, back to my old apartment, then took the road back to the car. This seemed a lot better than walking way west to Twetos summit first, then the ridge to Buckskin, then a long long rolling ridge walk plus an extended walk back to your car. Or shuttling the Kite Lake way.

Traverse...or not
Was going to make the traverse over to London. Went and got a cheeseburger instead
Hiked up Buckskin first than traversed over Tweto to Arkansas. The ridge between Buckskin and Tweto was definitely fun! Mostly class-3 all the way (if you stick to the ridge proper).

Good Peak for the Mosquitos
7/8/06 - Climbed along with Arkansas. Short easy day.
3/15/15 - Started hiking at the winter closure near Paris Mill on the Kite Lake road. Lovelend -> Buckskin -> Tweto -> Treasurevault -> Mosquito -> Kuss -> London. Ended at Mosquito Pass winter closure (car shuttle). Connecting 1 mile ridge between Buckskin & Tweto took close to 3 hours; not too difficult, just tedious.

Nice Warm November Day.
Did this the day before Thanksgiving Day yet it almost felt like a summer hike. The ridge crest was quite windy though.

Mosquito
Great holidays that I spent in the mountains. First day, I hiked Jacque Peak and Pennsylvania Mountain. It was very smoky that day, first glimpse on the fire season. View of Tenmiles are great. Second day I hiked Tweto, Mosquito, Treasurevault, Repeater, Evans B and London. Great and long trip.

CMC trip. It was very windy. There were wildfires burning in New Mexico and Arizona, so it was pretty hazy for most of the day. We hiked up to Tweto from North London Mill, then headed over to Mount Arkansas.

From Mosquito Pass Rd with Arkansas
What a beautiful day. We got to the summit of Tweto, then enjoyed the scrambling and easy snow-work (heavy snowpack year!) over to Arkasas. Great glissade on the way to the trucks down the slopes of Tweto!

From dirt road off Mosquito Pass Road
We enjoyed the summit of Tweto, including the old wooden sign, but there was no HOPE for Arkansas this day as the storm was raging to the west. Janet and I RAN back down from the summit to our 4X4!
