Don't forget sunscreen
An easy and very very sunny walk up. We came from the north trailhead, the south side was still deep in snow. Great views of the park and Tetons!

Hiked 30 times in 20 years
I hiked this so many times just for a half day workout when I lived at old faithful and lake Yellowstone for 10 seasons (1984-1993 ) then over the next 28 years I did it with family members when visiting Yellowstone . Beautiful scenery. I ve probably watching 20 grizzlies from the summit over the years
Parked at Tower Junction and biked the road until about 8,000 feet then skinned the rest of the way to the top. The views are amazing up there and we had a great descent. We saw a wolf near the road on our way out. If you are skiing this make sure to talk to rangers first because a lot of the area is permanently closed for grizzlies and you have to follow a specific route.

Chittendon Road
Nice lookout and summit area. Easy hike, but had to leave the road briefly to avoid a bison coming down.

Just missed a cougar
Hiked on family vacation. The people who got to the top just after I did said they saw a cougar! That would have been exciting.

From the north
Hiked up with a French ex rugby player who was touring the USA by van. Took about an hour up and slightly less down. We both liked the overlook area.
Nice hike in the National Park. Hiked up later in the evening and still quite a few people out on the trail. Got back down just a bit before sunset. Nice day hiking in Wyoming, this one was my third P2K of the day.
Took my time walking up to keep my breathing steady and to enjoy the views. The fire watchtower was cool to see. Walking back down, I almost slipped a few times on the loose gravel. Overall, it was a great hike.
Very enjoyable half day hike with MD. Saw bears and bison on the drive in from the northern side of the park. Saw tons of marmots and bighorn sheep on the hike itself.
