on AT thru hike in 2000, left lake of clouds early after my chores of preparing breakfast, then got to be alone on the summit until I saw a ranger around 7:30. I was gone by the time people started coming at 8...the best way to experience this overrun but otherwise amazing mountain

Ice Fall in Tuckerman's Ravine
Went up Tuckerman's Ravine and experienced a lot of ice fall. Summited in very windy conditions and decided on the safter route down via Lions head. Had a wonderful time getting this one.
Climbed this with my ex a few years back - can't remember the route or the date, I only remember we encountered many extreme weather situations along the route. We started with hot and humid, extreme sun and sun burns, then heavy rain at some point, then really strong winds and thick clouds at the top - it was actually scary - I thought the wind was going to blow me off the mountain! Would do it again though. Maybe this time I'll take more notes and photos to remember it better :)
Got hit by a storm above tree line. I totally underestimated those winds, they are no joke. I'll drive to the top another time instead :D

Tuckerman to Lions Head
Finally, after an almost two year hiatus from any kind of peak "bagging", we took the 6 hour journey down to New Hampshire to fulfill a long awaited aspiration to climb north-eastern America's highest peak... the busy and "dangerous", yet anti-climactic, Mount Washington...

Loved those cairns
Went up during Appalachian Trail hike. Complete whiteout blizzard in the middle of the summer. The rock cairns were the only way we could find our way.
Many climbs at all different times of the year, via all of the standard routes. Favorite ascent is up Huntington Ravine.

Traverse? No. Lion's Head? Yes.
Tried to do the traverse but got turned back after difficulties with route finding and snow (shouldn't have tried Webster Cliff trail...). Ended up summiting via Lion's Head. Beautiful day up to Alpine Garden followed by whiteout and high winds (75 mph gusts at -5F) for the rest.

92mph winds and -60 wind chills
After an unsuccessful attempt on 1/28/10, I felt compelled to go back and conquer the mountain during severe winter weather. Back in Jan. I had to turn back due to a friend that couldn't push on and zero visibility.
I returned Dec. 29th (this time solo) and was successful! As the title says, the weather was ridiculous. But it was EXACTLY what i came for!

Perfect Day
8.5 hour roundtrip up the Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail, and down Jewell.
Having spent most of the hike complaining about the inevitable 400 pound man on top eating a chili dog, I found myself eating warm pizza and enjoying the amenities!
