SE ridge to face
Excellent campsite by Taminah with killer views. And the last few hundred feet of WIster were a blast. But man, that scree field was annoying as utter hell to descend (and ascend). Definitely go earlier in the year!
Wonderful climb on a fall day with nice weather, plus we didn't see a single person the entire time. This was the last of the major Teton peaks between Death and Cascade for me to bag! A great end to my first summer here.

W Ridge/S Ledges
Double bagged with Veiled Peak (very easy from the saddle; I jetted up in 12 minutes).

North Face West Chimney
We tried the West Chimney and found it extremely dirty and loose with sketchy gear. We ended up bailing (rapping the route). After we bailed, we hiked up to look at the West Ridge and it did look fun but we didn't have the energy or time left to try it. Looks like a very long route.

E ridge
Kind of slushy, but at least the scree was covered. Trip report

North Face, East Chimney
Got dragged up this route by SP user dunsum. Some loose rock, but a great adventure route. One move pulling over a chockstone is among the most memorable I've ever had to make in the mountains.
Don't descend from the East Ridge down the scree slope directly to Lake Taminah--it is a nightmare!

Attempted Snowboard Descent
We almost made it up to the summit.. Beautiful day in the mountains! Snowboarded down the North East couloir.
Sept 2004 was my sixth and last time up one of my favorite Tetons. The east ridge is one of my favorite scrambles in the Range. The hike in past Lake Taminah is incredible. The times I have spent on the summit of Mt Wister are just incredible.

North Face, East Chimney, III 5.6
Mixed feelings about this route; lots of loose rock and difficult-to-obtain protection. Chimneys have a way of putting a smile on my face, though, and we enjoyed perfect solitude, great scenery and the occasional rain cloud to keep things cool. We descended the E. Ridge and the horrendously loose and steep north facing scree field. It was a day of loose rock.

E Ridge
Solo on a nice fall day. A rewarding 3rd class scramble by this gorgeous ridge, which the page does not presently list.

A spectacular route on a true hidden treasure of the Tetons. The views of Buck, Cloudveil and the South Teton are inspiring. We were the only ones on the mountain all day.
