Mountain pasqueflower (Anemone occidentalis)

Also known as western pasqueflower, this spectacular wildflower species is common in the subalpine habitats of the Selway Crags. It was especially abundant in the vicinity of Rainbow Lake below the summit of Peak 7,835. August 2008
