They settled mountains as the first...

A rock and ...
Mushrooms...
Lichens, fungi and algae are sometimes almost invisible. There, where we can not go, they have an easy access. They inhabit various habitats. On stones in streams, on rocks exposed to sun, on lava flows, on a tree bark and twigs - their colours are grey, but most often very spectacular. They are very stable components of the mountains.
Everybody is invited to improve this album including own pictures!!! :-)

Hi!!!

Hi Sajama!!! Sometimes we are completely alone in mountains and only these small "pioneers" are our companions.

Thanks

Good idea for an album. It doesn't surprise me you'd be interested in this subject with your excellent feel for design and color.

Lolli, you know, in your country these "plants" are very common and you are very familiar with them. Have the nice moments!!!

Amazing

I had no idea how beautiful a collection of such images can be. This is a great album.

Re: Amazing

Dean, I think, very characteristic lichens for any kind of rocks in fresh air are spectacular in shapes and colours. In my institute some colleague is working with them. Slime molds and mushrooms are also beautiful. Unfortunately some of these 'plants' are rather small.
I wish you nice 'zapiatek'!!! (in Polish it means the same as weekend)

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
